The community leader. The doer. The leader.
David Wilson is a very well known Conservative Community Organizer born and raised in the 95th District.
As a community organizer, he has accomplished many things fighting against the Liberals that control the Southeast community of Newport News. When news broke of a man riding around bus stops in a van trying to pick up children, David organized a group of over 70 men to start going to the school bus stops in downtown Newport News to protect the children. That organization is now known as The Minute Men Task Force which has led to media coverage of David for that.
When the number of violent crimes increased in the South East End community, David organized several Teen Panels that were standing room only and brought the community together for hard, honest conversations.
When a mother posted on social media about her disabled son being missing, David sprung into action again and formed an over 60 person community search party. Unfortunately, they found this woman's beloved son murdered and stuffed under an abandoned house, but David’s fight didn’t stop there. He organized his community and marched into Newport News City Council with over 200 people to demand the city create an alert system for disabled, elderly, and mentally unstable people.
David is known as a doer and not as a talker but his speeches fire people up as well. Citizens are able to connect with him and his message. The community trusts him and his efforts. His passion is felt enough to spring people into action.
Take a look at David Wilson's role in the heart breaking story of Andre Gray, a disabled Newport News citizen.
